Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new monitor, specifically a single curved ultrawide display to replace my two aging iiyama monitors after ten years. I want to keep the dimensions roughly around 70x40 cm (27.5x15.7 inches). I do a bit of gaming on an RTX 3070 Ti Mobile, but my main use is watching content and producing music in ProTools. From what I gather, I should be looking at either a 29" or 32" curved ultrawide. Is it feasible to find something in UHD or UWQHD that fits my size constraints? I'm also a bit confused about the different panel technologies like IPS, VA, LED, and OLED. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Just so you know, LED is more of a backlight technology than an actual panel type. The main types you should consider are (QD)OLED, IPS, VA, and TN, ranked from best to worst. Honestly, 29” or 32” might feel a bit cramped for ultrawide usage—I'd recommend going for a 34” if you can, as long as your desk space allows it. Otherwise, you might find it a bit too narrow for your preferences. That's just my two cents!
Thanks for the info! I've attached a photo of my current setup. I can go up to around 80cm wide, which would match most 34” monitors. I'm just worried about the thickness and bezels interfering with my speakers. Height-wise, I couldn't go above 40cm without it being uncomfortable. How do you think I should approach my setup with that in mind?
