Hey folks, I need some advice. I was all set to get a gaming laptop with a 5070 GPU and an i7-14700K, priced around $1500 USD. However, my school suddenly requires me to buy either a MacBook Air or an iPad to run specific software that only works on macOS. I'm really leaning towards the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 with a 4070 and an i9 instead since gaming is still important to me. But here's the kicker: the school wants to take the laptop for three days to install the required software, which will be monitored and only runs on macOS. I can't even access the school Wi-Fi without it! So I have a few questions: 1. Is it possible to Hackintosh the Zephyrus G16 and have the school install their software on it? 2. If so, how does gaming on macOS perform in 2025? 3. Alternatively, can I set up a macOS virtual machine on the laptop for them to install the software without them noticing? I'm really hoping to keep my gaming capabilities while meeting the school's requirements. Any guidance would be awesome!
