Thoughts on My First PC Build with Fractal North Case?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and recently decided to transition from my old office laptop to building my own PC. Here's what I'm planning:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
- **GPU**: NVIDIA 3080 (my friend is selling it for a good price)
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO B650-S WIFI
- **RAM**: Corsair 64 GB DDR5 6000 MHz CL30 Vengeance Grey (currently out of stock)
- **SSD**: Samsung EVO Plus 990 2TB
- **Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **PSU**: GIGABYTE UD850GM PG5
- **Case**: Fractal Design North (the regular one, not the XL)

I'm excited about this build! I think the Ryzen 7800X3D will work well with the 3080 for now, and even allow for an upgrade to a 5070 Ti in the future. I'll mainly be doing some light programming and virtualization work, so I don't think I need a 9800X3D.

My main concerns are the motherboard choice and whether my PSU is adequate. I picked an ATX 3.0 PSU because I wanted the PCIe 5 connector for future GPUs. Also, I'm a bit worried if everything will fit into the Fractal case.

I was considering switching to an Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 cooler for better cooling, but I'm hesitant about the cost and potential leaks compared to air coolers.

Looking forward to any feedback or suggestions!

Your build looks solid! Just curious, what price are you getting that 3080 for? Used GPU prices can be all over the place.

I haven't set a price yet, but I’m hoping for under $200 since new ones are listed for around $400 now. Prices have definitely dropped since COVID.

If you're eyeing the 5070 Ti, does it really matter whether you go for Gainward or Palit versus a more reputable brand like ASUS or MSI? I noticed stock has been hard to find recently.
