Hey everyone! I've been using my PC for a couple of years and recently I've noticed it runs really poorly, despite having decent specs. People online suggest I should be easily getting around 120 fps in Fortnite and 60 in Call of Duty, but I'm not seeing that at all.
Here's what I've got: Ryzen 5 5600G, RX 6600 XT, 32GB of 3200MHz RAM, and a 2TB SSD. My drivers are set to auto-update, but I've never really taken the time to update them manually. I'm still learning about PC maintenance, so if driver issues are the culprit, please let me know how to fix them!
I know my setup isn't top-of-the-line, but it should be able to handle games like Fortnite smoothly at 1080-1440p. I typically use AMD's Radeon Super Resolution to upscale from 1080 to 1440, but performance is still choppy, especially in Warzone (around 50 fps) and Fortnite (60 fps with frame drops). It's nearly impossible to play Elden Ring without it stuttering. On the other hand, games like Dead by Daylight and GTA V Enhanced run pretty well.
Ultimately, I just want to enjoy Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Elden Ring at steady frame rates with medium to high settings at 1080p. Any ideas on what might be going wrong?

First off, make sure you download the latest driver pack for your GPU directly from AMD's website. It should help boost performance levels. In the past, I've had issues resolved just by updating my drivers. Once you do that, give your system a restart and check if there's any difference.
Check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU while you’re gaming. You can use an app like HWiNFO to monitor them. If your temps are hitting 100°C or more, that could really impact performance. More often than not, overheating can lead to lag and stutters. If that’s the issue, there are ways to improve cooling.
