Why is my PC underperforming despite decent specs?

Hey everyone! I got my PC a couple of years ago, and as I've learned more about how they work, I've realized that it runs pretty poorly even with its specs. People online say I should be getting consistent 120 FPS in Fortnite and around 60 in Call of Duty, but my experience is far from that.

Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 5 5600G
- RX 6600 XT
- 32GB 3200 MHz RAM
- 2TB SSD

I've set my drivers to auto-update, but I haven't manually updated them because I'm still figuring out how to manage drivers. If that's an issue, could someone please guide me on how to do that?

Even though my setup isn't the highest-end, I believe it should run games like Fortnite smoothly at 1080-1440p. I usually use the Radeon Software to upscale from 1080 to 1440, but the performance remains choppy. For instance, Warzone runs at approximately 50 FPS, Fortnite at around 60 FPS with frequent frame drops, and Elden Ring is nearly unplayable. However, games like Dead by Daylight, GTA V Enhanced, and Warframe run reasonably well.

Ultimately, I just want to enjoy playing Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Elden Ring at consistent frame rates on medium to high settings at 1080p.

Have you checked your thermals? Overheating can really throttle your performance!

Try turning off Radeon Enhanced Sync and V-Sync. Use the V-Sync option in AMD's software, not from the in-game settings. Also, disable full-screen optimizations and overlays like Discord and Game Bar. Different full-screen modes could help as well. I've experienced similar issues on my RX 6600, and moving to Linux fixed a lot of stuttering.
