I'm trying to decide between the Corsair RM850e and RM850x power supplies. I know both are solid choices, but there's a $35 price difference between them. The RM850x has some distinct features. Do you think it's worth spending more on the RM850x, or should I save money and go for the RM850e instead?

Honestly, I'd say yes to the RM850x. That extra $35 gets you a 10-year warranty and a quieter fan, which can really make a difference over time. If you're going to be using it for multiple builds, that peace of mind is worth it in my opinion.
From what I've gathered, the main difference is that the RM850x uses higher quality Japanese capacitors. If you're just looking at price, the RM850e might work for you, but if you value long-term reliability, the RM850x is a solid choice. The performance difference is minimal though, so it’s a tough call.
I think it really depends on your budget. If the RM850e is significantly cheaper, you might as well go for it! But if you're like me and appreciate higher quality, the RM850x would be the way to go. Plus, I've heard the MSI A850GL is another option that's generally cheaper and still offers a solid 10-year warranty.
I've seen the MSI A850GL mentioned too! It seems like a good alternative if you want something reliable without breaking the bank.
