Hey everyone, I'm facing a real issue with my PC. I was gaming and it crashed, showing a "disk write error" when I tried to restart. When I checked, it mentioned that my SSD wasn't connected. While I was still on a call with my friends, I decided to troubleshoot the SSD while the PC was powered on. Suddenly, the PC turned off and now it won't turn on at all, even after removing the SSD and cycling the power cord. I'm really stuck here—any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like you might have created a short circuit when you were poking around inside your powered PC. Always be cautious when working on live equipment! If you're comfortable, try checking the power supply connections—make sure everything is seated properly. If it still won't power on, you might need to look into whether the power supply is functioning well or if there’s an issue with the motherboard.
Wait, it turns on but then it doesn’t? Just to clarify, did you maybe mean that you turned off the power strip instead? That can sometimes reset things, but if it won’t boot after that, it might be more serious. Double-check all connections when it’s powered off!
Yeah, I meant I turned off the power strip, trying to see if it would help. Just confused at this point!
That's good advice. How can I check if the power supply is working properly?
