Hey everyone! I just switched back to using an iPhone, but I'm having a real struggle here. I can't remember my old iPhone passcode or my Apple ID login details, and it feels like I can't do anything without them or access to my old phone. I'm waiting for some help from Apple, but I'm starting to panic a bit. I understand that there's not much that can be done about the passcode situation, but I'm confused about needing the old passcode to reset my Apple ID password. It's been years since I used my old phone, and I'm worried about how this will affect my new iPhone setup. Any guidance would really mean a lot, thanks!

Try going to iforgot.apple.com and follow the recovery steps. If you know the email and phone number linked to your Apple ID, you should be able to recover your account. It will definitely speed up the process if you can check the inbox of that email, too!
It sounds like you’re in a tough spot! Just to clarify, Apple has these security measures to protect your account, which can be frustrating. If you have a backup in your iCloud, that could help when you reset your iPhone, but you’ll need to erase it first to get a clean start. Hang in there!
I'll see if I can access my iCloud, thanks! I'm relieved to hear restoration is possible. Everything I read online made it sound so hopeless without knowing the passcode. I really appreciate your help!
Changing your Apple ID password is intentionally designed to be challenging for security reasons. It’s meant to help protect your account, even though it can be stressful in moments like this.
I totally get that, just feels overwhelming right now, but I realize that's on me! Thanks for understanding!
I'll definitely give that a shot, thank you! Since my email's the same and I remember my old number, this gives me some hope!
