Hey everyone! I'm trying to enhance my laptop's performance, particularly for gaming, and I'm wondering if increasing the virtual memory is the best approach. I currently have 8GB of RAM, and while playing Apex Legends, I noticed some lag. I've cleared some space on my storage recently, so I'm hoping that will help too. My RAM usage spikes between 70-90% during gameplay, and I'm concerned about streaming performance as well. Since I can't afford any significant hardware upgrades right now, I'd love any advice on improving my laptop's memory or optimizing it in other ways. Thanks a lot!

Increasing virtual memory doesn't always help; it's actually managed by your system and usually set to an optimal size automatically. Your best bet is to upgrade your RAM. If that's not in the cards right now, you'll have to manage with what you have. Just keep in mind that with 70-90% memory usage while gaming, you might hit performance issues, especially if you stream at the same time.
That's fair! I'll need to research what RAM to get then!
