Looking for Device Management Solutions for Samsung Tablets

Hey everyone! Our company has been using Samsung tablets in our vehicle fleet for functions like real-time data access, navigation tools, communication, and incident reporting. While we primarily rely on Intune for device management across the organization, we've found that it doesn't quite meet our specific needs for managing these Android tablets effectively. Intune seems more suited for general devices like laptops. Some of my colleagues have experience with SOTI, but they've mentioned it can be tough to learn and somewhat complex to navigate. We're currently considering other options like ManageEngine and AirDroid Business. Has anyone had experience with these or any other recommendations? Thanks for your input!

I’m curious how you manage your vehicle fleet. Do you think there’d be an advantage in tracking both your vehicles and tablets using the same system? Tools like Starhive might be a good fit if that’s something you’re considering.

Have you checked out Google's MDM? I haven't personally used it, but I’ve heard it's worth considering for Android devices!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into it.

I totally understand your struggle! We started using ManageEngine for our tablets too, but we just found out it can’t track online status or historical activity, which is super frustrating. We’re looking to switch soon!

You might want to check out AirDroid, it includes online tracking features and has been pretty reliable for us.

Wait, you deployed something without proper testing? ManageEngine’s free version is only for up to 25 devices, so that’s a risk.

I manage our Samsung tablets using SOTI and find it quite user-friendly. It’s not as complicated as some make it out to be! Worth giving it another shot.

In my last job, we used Intune to manage Samsung tablets. It integrates with Samsung Knox, though all the Android management features are built into Intune itself.

You should definitely consider Samsung Knox Manage! It’s essential for managing unique Samsung features. We use both Knox and Intune, and it works pretty smoothly for us. Also, if you go with ManageEngine, it's affordable and has lots of features, though it can feel a bit clunky at times. Don’t forget to implement Knox Mobile Enrollment for easy zero-touch setup and automatic MDM enrollment!

I highly recommend SureMDM for Samsung fleets! It’s great for tracking devices on the move, pushing updates, and has real-time location tracking. It also has a really user-friendly interface and a handy driver safety mode.

What specific limitations are you encountering with Intune for managing these tablets? I’ve used it with Samsung devices and found some success.
