I just got my new iPhone 16 Pro Max yesterday and decided to add Apple Care Plus, which I don't usually do. Unfortunately, it fell out of my pocket today and now there's a small crack in the glass back. The rest of the phone is in perfect shape. If I use my Apple Care, will they send me a completely different phone, or will they repair mine and send it back?

It really depends on how you choose to get your service. If you go to an Apple Store, they'll replace the back glass for about $29. If you decide to mail it in, the cost should be the same. But, if you're looking for a full replacement phone, you'd want to initiate an express replacement through the Apple Support app. They'll send you a new phone overnight, and you'll need to send your old one back in the box they provide. Just a heads up, that's going to cost you $99, and they might put a hold on your card since it’s such a new model—expect a couple hundred dollars for that hold!
I get the concern! If you do the express replacement, they’ll usually send you a phone that’s as close to brand new as possible, but it might not be identical to yours since it's a replacement unit, not a brand new one. Definitely something to think about!
