I'm thinking about saving up for an AMD RX 7600, but I've seen that the RX 7700 XT performs noticeably better on DirectX 12, running Grounded 2 at around 77 fps compared to the 7600's 56 fps. Given this, I'm wondering if I should stick with my plan to buy the 7600 once I have enough saved up, or if it would be smarter to save a bit longer for the 7700 XT instead.

The recommended specs list the RX 7700 XT, but the minimum is set at a GTX 1070, which the RX 7600 should definitely match or beat. So, it might be okay for you if you're not aiming for top-notch settings.
It's tough to predict for sure. The first Grounded was really well optimized, which made it run smoothly even on lower-end systems. Hopefully, the sequel follows that trend—maybe Obsidian has undersold the minimum requirements and it’ll end up being more accessible than we think!
I've noticed the RTX 3060 runs around 74 fps on DirectX 12, which is pretty close to the 7700 XT. Since it's cheaper, it could be a solid option if you're looking to save some cash!
Yeah, I currently have an RX 580 and it struggles even on the lowest settings. Not sure if it's just the GPU or if I need to upgrade something else too.
