My Computer Shut Down Due to Overheating—Now I Can’t Boot It Up!

Last Tuesday night, my computer shut down because it was overheating. I left it in a cool place overnight and, surprisingly, it was working fine the next morning! However, after returning from college, it wouldn't boot up and I got hit with the blue screen of death displaying "DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG." I tried following some online tips but I think I made things worse, as now I need to enter my BitLocker key every time I open my laptop. I ran extensive BIOS tests and everything seems fine with my hardware and drivers, but I'm stumped on what to do next.

It sounds like you're dealing with a software issue since your hardware checks out. A full Windows reinstall could be the way to go. It might help resolve those pesky boot problems!
