Why Does Amnesia: The Bunker Keep Crashing on Linux?

I'm having a frustrating issue with Amnesia: The Bunker crashing right after the main menu loads, even though I'm on a Linux distro called Bazzite. Most of my games are working fine, but this one doesn't seem to want to cooperate. I've tried switching between different versions of Proton, but it hasn't made a difference. I installed the game on my Steam Deck, and it runs perfectly there, so I don't understand why Bazzite is having these problems. My setup includes an AMD Radeon 9070xt GPU and an Intel i7-14700kf CPU, and I'm using the KDE desktop environment. Anyone have ideas on what's causing this crash and how to fix it?

You might want to try launching the game with the option "SteamDeck=1 %command%". This helped some users with similar issues. Also, check out protondb.com; it could give you some tweaks that might work for your setup.

In the terminal? Do I write it exactly like that? Just to clarify, I'm on Bazzite on my PC, not the Steam Deck.

I checked out protondb, and it shows Amnesia: The Bunker has a gold rating, which means it should run with a few tweaks. You could check out this link for specific tips: [protondb.com](https://www.protondb.com/app/1944430).

I'm not sure how ProtonDB could help. I've tried different Proton versions, and it still crashes. I heard running the executable directly through the terminal works for some people. Has anyone tried that?
