Since everything I work on is on this laptop, the thought of having it shut down unexpectedly is a nightmare! Now, it's 2025 and Adobe Illustrator won't even open. I might have to reinstall it, but that means switching to the 2025 version, which I'm 100% not ready for yet. I can't reinstall until I update my laptop first. So, I'm in a bit of a pickle here: if I back up my data and then update my Mac to catch up on 7 years of updates, is there any chance it'll brick my laptop? Losing this machine would be devastating for me!
