Hey everyone! I just picked up a 9800X3D along with a B650M PG Riptide motherboard, but then I heard about some alarming reports that certain motherboards might be damaging Ryzen 9000 series CPUs. I got nervous and canceled my order, but now I'm looking for clarification. Are ASRock boards still having these issues with frying CPUs? Also, if anyone has recommendations for reliable motherboards, I'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance!

ASRock has rolled out new BIOS updates that help lower voltage settings from Precision Boost Overdrive, which is a good sign. They've definitely had some issues, but they weren't the only ones. Just keep your BIOS updated, and you should be fine.
Honestly, I wouldn’t stress too much about the ASRock situation. I've got an ASRock X670E with a 7800X3D and haven't had any problems. Just make sure to keep that BIOS updated. Plus, if anything does happen, their warranty should cover you.
