Can I Mix Different RAM Kits for 32GB?

I have two different RAM kits that I'm considering mixing for a total of 32 GB on my MSI pro b550m-vc motherboard. One is ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 with a speed of 3000 MHz, and the other is Team T-FORCE VULCAN Z running at 3200 MHz. Would it work if I use both together, or should I stick with just the faster Vulcan RAM for now?

As long as XMP is disabled in your BIOS, both kits should be stable together. If you enable XMP, it might lead to problems since one kit could be pushed beyond its limits because of the voltage settings.

Yes, they should work together without issues at 3000 MHz. Just remember, you might need to adjust some settings in BIOS to ensure they can run smoothly. It's generally plug and play, but it’s always good to check.

Mixing RAM can work, but keep in mind that the speed will cap at the lower frequency of the two kits, so in this case, they'll both run at 3000 MHz. You might not even notice the difference in performance unless you're doing heavy tasks. Just make sure to consider your usage before deciding!
