Are My Ryzen 7 7800X3D Temperatures Normal?

I just built my first PC about two weeks ago and everything's working pretty well, aside from some minor Nvidia driver issues. I'm trying to figure out if the temperatures I'm seeing on my Ryzen 7 7800X3D are normal.

Here's my setup:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- AIO Cooler: Lian Li Galahad Trinity II 360mm
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus B850 Elite Ice WiFi
- Fans: 6 reverse blade Lian Li Infinity fans, plus 2 regular ones for exhaust
- GPU: Gigabyte 5070Ti

When I'm just doing light tasks like homework or browsing YouTube, my CPU usage is around 2-5%, and the temps sit at 48-50°C with power usage of 40-50W. When gaming, I rarely see temperatures over 60-65°C. For instance, during Ghost of Tsushima, my CPU stabilizes around 55°C, and my GPU hangs around 40-50°C.

I notice that CPU temperatures spike briefly when opening applications, which I assume is normal. However, I've heard people talk about idle temps around 35°C. Is that common? Should I consider repasting my CPU? I'm also planning to add three more exhaust fans at the top to have a setup of 6 intake fans and 5 exhausts—how much of a temperature drop can I expect from that?

Your temps seem pretty normal for the 7800X3D, especially since it's known to run hot. As long as you're not overheating, you shouldn't worry too much about it. I've read that this CPU often stays cooler than many Intel CPUs under heavy load, so your readings sound fine to me! Just keep an eye on it, and you should be okay. If you're comfortable at gaming temps under 65°C, that's great!

I don't really understand the hot comments either. My 7800X3D uses less power and stays cool compared to other CPUs. I've pushed mine under stress testing and never hit above 83°C, so you're doing fine!
