Hey everyone! I ran into a pretty annoying issue today. While I was plugging a USB drive into my PC, it suddenly started rapidly turning on and off, with the case lights flashing. I quickly unplugged it, but now my PC is stuck in a boot loop. It does manage to stay on after a few cycles, but there's no display output at all. Just to clarify, the monitor and HDMI cable are fine since they work with other devices. My setup includes an i5-6400, an RX580 graphics card, and an ASRock motherboard. Any ideas on how I can fix this? I'd really appreciate your help!

Was the USB drive a storage device or did it belong to a peripheral like a keyboard or mouse? Knowing this could help identify if there was a short or power issue when you plugged it in. If it was just a USB drive, that seems like it shouldn't have caused any issues unless there was a fault with the port itself.
To start off, can you tell us if that USB port was used successfully before? Also, did you notice any beep codes or unusual light patterns on the motherboard? These can often provide clues about what's going wrong. If you have the manual for your motherboard, it’s a good idea to check that for further troubleshooting tips.
I haven’t really used that specific port before, so I can't say if it worked fine or not.
It was a USB drive, and the mouse I had plugged into the adjacent port was working without any problems.
