Which GPU Should I Pair with My Ryzen 5 5600X?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my PC and could use your advice. I frequently use Lightroom and Photoshop for photo editing, but I've noticed that my monitor goes black intermittently just a few minutes after opening these applications. This never happened when I was using my MacBook Pro, so I suspect it might be related to my graphics card (which is just a temporary one for now). Here's my current setup:

- ASUS TUF GAMING B450M-PLUS II
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 4.6 GHz
- Patriot Viper Blackout RAM Series DDR4 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3600MHz
- ASUS ROG Poseidon GTX 980
- SSD Samsung 980 500 GB PCIe 3.0
- BenQ BL2420PT (23.8 inches, 2K WQHD 1440P).

Could my graphics card be the issue?

Hey! First off, don’t worry about the Italian; you're doing great! The intermittent black screen could be caused by either your HDMI/DisplayPort cable or the GPU itself. Have you tried using a different cable? Also, check the GPU temperatures—how are they while you're using it? Have you swapped the cable to different ports on the GPU?

Yeah, I changed both the HDMI and DisplayPort cables, but the issue still happens. The GPU temperature is sitting at 32°C idle and jumps to 51°C when active, but I have to engage the fan boost to keep it cool.
