Why did my FPS drop to 120 in Valorant?

Hey everyone! So I've been playing Valorant on my laptop for years, usually getting over 150 FPS. Out of nowhere, after adjusting some settings in the Nvidia Control Panel and Intel Graphics Command, my FPS is now capped at 120. I'm not really a tech expert, so I'm hoping you can help me figure this out!

You might want to look at the global FPS limit in Nvidia or turn off VSync if you have a 120Hz monitor. Also, check your RTSS settings, as they can sometimes cap your FPS.

I checked and the Nvidia FPS limit is off, and VSync is off too. My laptop’s refresh rate is 144Hz, sorry if I’m rambling, I'm really not that technical.

What’s the refresh rate of your monitor? Sometimes it can affect FPS, especially if it's set to 120Hz. Make sure you're not being capped by that.

My monitor's refresh rate is 120, but I used to get 150+ until I changed things in Nvidia or Intel.

First thing to check is your Nvidia Control Panel. There's a global setting that can limit your max FPS. Make sure that setting is either disabled or not set to 120.

I checked, and the setting is off.
