Is a 750W PSU enough for a 3090 Ti?

I scored an awesome deal on a 3090 Ti, but I've already got a 750W power supply. I'm wondering if I can safely use it like this for a while? I could look for a different GPU, but I'd hate to miss out on this opportunity!

A good quality PSU, especially one that's ATX3 or PCIe5, should be fine. But be cautious; if it struggles, it can lead to crashes and other issues.

If it powers on, you might be okay for now. Just a heads-up, mine struggled to boot with a 750W using a 3080 Ti before, so your mileage may vary.

It's generally not recommended unless you have a top-quality PSU. A failing PSU can fry your components, so it's a risky move. If your CPU is low on power needs and you have a quality 750W like a Corsair RM750, it could work, but stability might be an issue.

I have a 7700X CPU, and I’m using the Corsair RM750 too. Just trying to weigh my options.

You can use PCPartPicker to check your build's estimated wattage. It’s a good way to make sure you’re within safe limits.
