I've been using an RTX 3070 since 2021, but I'm experiencing frequent blackscreens, possibly due to issues from when it was used for BTC mining. I'm considering upgrading to an RTX 5070 and pairing it with a Ryzen 7 7700X. Is this a good move?

Honestly, at MSRP, the 5070 is a fair value, especially since the 3070 is a solid card to upgrade from. While you may not notice a massive improvement, selling your 3070 can help offset the cost of the new card, making the switch a little easier on the wallet.
Upgrading to the 5070 from a 3070 could be a decent jump, especially in 1440p gaming where you might see almost a 40% performance boost. However, I personally feel that if you're coming from a higher card like a 3080, the upgrade just isn’t compelling enough. But for you, it might be a step up!
The 5070 Ti definitely seems to be a good option, but the standard 5070 might not offer the value you're looking for if you're aiming for significant performance improvements.
Honestly, if you're considering something in the same family, you might want to check out the 9070 instead. It's a bit higher in performance and might be more worth your time and money.
Yeah, but is the price tag really justified for the 5070?
