7600 vs. 7600X: Which Should I Choose for My Build?

I'm building a PC with a 9060 XT and trying to decide between the 7600 and the 7600X. There's roughly a $30 difference, but if I go for the cheaper option, I could use that money to upgrade from an mATX to an ATX motherboard. What do you guys think?

You can overclock the 7600 to reach 7600X performance levels if you’re comfortable with that. The 9600/9600X are only about $170 right now if you're considering that route.

I checked the prices and the older gen options are still quite a bit cheaper, but I’m not sure what to go with.

If you can find the 9600X at a similar price point as the 7600X, I'd opt for that instead. The 9600X is a solid choice!

I'd say look into the 7500F or 7600 and enable Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO). You might get performance close to the 7600X without paying the premium!

So are you saying the 7500F is better choice than both?

Honestly, I’d lean towards the 7600 since there’s hardly any performance difference between the two and you’ll save $30. Plus, the 7600 actually comes with a cooler, which is a nice bonus!

Thanks for the tip!
