I've been trying to downgrade my iPhone 15 Plus from iOS 26 back to 18.5. I made sure to back up my phone, but now when I attempt to restore it, I'm stuck on the screen asking for my iCloud password. It just hangs there for hours before saying the activation has failed. If I reset the phone, it works fine, but I don't want to lose all my data and pictures. Can anyone help me out with this?

How exactly did you attempt to downgrade? The Apple Devices app typically doesn’t give you the option to choose firmware versions for downgrading. An alternative approach is to use 3uTools or a similar tool, which allows more control over the firmware installation.
To successfully downgrade from a beta version, you need to wipe your iPhone and restore it using a backup from iTunes. If you backed up your device on your computer while it was running iOS 18.5, you should be able to restore your data. However, if you didn't create a backup before attempting the downgrade, you won't be able to recover your data now.
