What are your go-to tools for managing Hyper-V hosts and VMs?

I'm currently migrating our servers from VMWare to Hyper-V and have set up a Hyper-V server, but I don't have any VMs running yet. I'm hoping to migrate our development servers soon, but I need to get SCVMM running first to assist with the migration. In our production environment, we manage everything via vCenter, and I'm curious to know what tools you all use for managing your Hyper-V setups. I've tried Windows Admin Center before, but I've heard SCVMM is pretty essential for this process. Any recommendations or insights on the best tools for managing Hyper-V would be greatly appreciated!

I haven’t used SCVMM in a while, but when I did, combining it with some command line and PowerShell was really effective for managing Hyper-V clusters, especially on Windows Server Core. Just a tip: don’t try to make SCVMM function like vSphere; it’s best to adapt to the unique features it offers instead.

I remember using it about 15 years ago, and it felt like a major downgrade from vCenter. Has it improved since then?
