Hey everyone! I'm totally new to PC building and I could really use some help figuring out which GPU to get. I'm planning on using a Ryzen 7 7700X CPU and I want to play games at either 1080p or 1440p—I'm not really set on one resolution yet. I don't really care much about ray tracing, to be honest. My budget is between €450 and €600. I've been looking at the 5060 Ti 16GB and the RX 7800 XT, but I'm not sure which one might be a better choice for me, or if there's another option I should consider. Any advice would be appreciated!

If you're just starting out and want to stick to your budget, the 5060 Ti 16GB could work for you. The RX 9060 XT 16GB is also a solid option and usually a bit cheaper, although it lacks some of the fancier features. Just be sure to check your motherboard compatibility since that can be tricky for first-time builders!
I think you should definitely go for 1440p; 1080p is becoming a little outdated. Here are some GPU options you might consider:
- **5060 Ti 16GB**: Good for 1440p at high settings. If ray tracing isn't a priority, the **9060 XT 16GB** can save you some cash.
- **7800 XT**: I've got this card myself. If you’re fine with 60fps in demanding games and turning on FSR quality sometimes, it's a fantastic pick!
- **5070**: A solid card; just be mindful of its VRAM if you're planning long-term. If you can find the **9070** for a reasonable price, it’s a better option with more VRAM.
Just get the 5070. I think it's the best choice if you're willing to stretch your budget a bit more compared to the others you mentioned. The 9070 is great too if you find it at a good price.
I wouldn't recommend the 5060 Ti 16GB; for just a bit more, you could get the 5070, which offers about a 30% performance boost. It's definitely worth considering if you can stretch your budget.
The RX 9060 XT with 16GB of VRAM is definitely worth a look. It performs similarly to the 5060 Ti but might be a bit cheaper depending on your location!
If you're aiming for a good deal, try to grab the RX 9070 around €600. If not, settle for the 5070 at MSRP since higher prices for that GPU aren't as attractive. Just keep these max prices in mind:
- **9060 XT 16GB**: max €375
- **5070**: max €575
- **9070**: max €625
Thanks for the motherboard tip! I'll keep that in mind.
