Thoughts on My Upcoming PC Build?

Hey everyone! I've been thinking about upgrading my PC, which has been running on an i9 9700k and a GTX 1060 for a good number of years now. Considering the current GPU prices, I'm okay with waiting for about six months in hopes they'll settle down a bit. I'm looking for your input on my current build plan, which you can check out here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8P4TDj. Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

I'd suggest waiting six months. A lot can change in that timeframe, and you might get better deals or see new releases that could fit your needs.

That's what I'm hoping for! I plan to narrow down my choices for when new deals come around.

The prices on some parts are a bit steep right now, especially for the GPU. A 4TB Samsung 990 Pro price was $250 before, but with Black Friday around the corner, you could save a lot by waiting. It might drop over $400!

That's exactly my plan! I’ll be monitoring for good deals, and I'll snag what I can on Black Friday.

Your build looks solid for now, but keep an eye out for sales closer to your build date. If you have a market nearby, upgrading to at least a 2070 can make a big difference for a reasonable price. You could sell your GTX 1060 too!

Selling the 1060 isn't an option since I'm passing my old PC to a friend. Plus, I live in a rural area, so finding good marketplace deals is tricky. I'd rather buy new from a retailer.

Nice parts overall! I’d recommend using an AIO cooler with the CPU for better performance, though I’ve seen people argue that a large air cooler can do the job just fine.

I thought about that too! I've seen mixed reviews about which is better. If the air cooler doesn't suffice, I can always return it for an AIO later on.
