Help! My Google Storage is Full—How Do I Clear Up Space?

I'm in a tough spot! Google just notified me that I'm out of storage (30.19 GB used out of 30 GB). This is preventing me from backing up photos, sending emails, or uploading anything. Here's how my storage breaks down:

- Google Photos: 24.8 GB
- WhatsApp: 4.51 GB
- Gmail: 0.78 GB
- Google Drive: 0.09 GB
- Other: 4.51 GB

I tried using the "Clean up space" feature, but it only cleared a tiny bit. I'm nervous about accidentally deleting important files. Does anyone have tips, tools, or step-by-step guides for cleaning this up? Thanks!

It sounds like your best bet might be upgrading to a higher storage plan, but if you don't want to spend, consider downloading your photos to a flash drive as a backup before deleting them if you really need to make space.

Another option is just to buy extra storage. It's a lot easier than piecing out your existing files, plus it'll save you the hassle in the long run.

You can free up a lot of space by backing up your photos to your computer first. Just log into Google Photos, back them up, and then delete them from Google Photos. That should help a lot!

Exactly! And just make sure that the backup is complete before you delete anything—better safe than sorry!

If you're thinking long-term, getting 100 GB of Google Drive storage for $20 a year is a great deal. It might be worth it if you plan on using Google services frequently.

Consider compressing your pictures in Google Photos to save space if you still want to keep those backups without paying for more storage. It’s a good way to free up some room.
