My iPhone Battery Is Acting Up! Any Fixes?

Hey everyone, I'm having some serious issues with my iPhone 15 battery, and I could really use some help. It's less than a year and a half old, and today it just randomly shut off while I was using it, even though it was fully charged. When it restarted, it showed the battery level at just 1%, and I got a notification saying my battery couldn't be verified as a genuine Apple battery. I've never had it replaced, so I'm unsure why this is happening. In my settings, it says the battery is unverified and the charging capacity is at 0%. Now, my phone won't charge at all, and it only lasts a couple of minutes before shutting itself off again. I live in a place experiencing an extreme heat wave right now, so I'm wondering if that could be affecting it. Has anyone dealt with something similar, and do you have any tips or solutions?

You should definitely check if there are any Apple stores nearby. Making an appointment at a Genius Bar could help! They can diagnose the issue properly for you.

Yeah, I actually have a Genius Bar appointment for tomorrow. I'm really hoping I can avoid a battery replacement if there's a simpler fix!

Batteries can fail unexpectedly since they're made of chemicals that can degrade. It’s pretty common for issues like this to happen. If they find a problem, replacing the battery might be your best route to fix it.
