I'm looking for a good 1TB 2.5-inch SSD specifically for storing games and some random files—definitely not for my operating system. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

You really can't go wrong with any well-known brands for game storage. Just pick something reputable and you’ll be set!
The Samsung 870 EVO is a solid choice! I've used one and you can find it for around $100 for 1TB. Definitely worth it if you're serious about game storage.
I bought a 1TB WD Blue SSD a while back to use as external storage on my PS4. It's now in my gaming PC and works great!
Samsung EVO and Western Digital Black are top contenders. Just keep in mind that older systems may not take full advantage of their speed capabilities.
