I've been playing Fortnite, and I recently downloaded an app called Medal. Since then, I've noticed my FPS has dropped significantly, around 20-50 frames per second. Does installing more apps affect FPS, and if I uninstall something like GTA 5, would it help bring my FPS back up?

Uninstalling other games won't really impact your FPS. It’s more about what's running in the background. Check your task manager to see if there's something else hogging your resources.
It sounds like Medal might be the culprit here. A friend of mine experienced massive FPS drops while using it for Tarkov. There are tons of threads online about Medal causing FPS issues, and sadly it seems like the problem's been around for quite a while with no solid fix.
You're definitely onto something about disk space. If your drive is nearly full, that could cause a drop in performance. Getting rid of unused games like GTA 5 might help. Have you checked that yet?
It's possible your disk is running low on storage space. If that's the case, consider cleaning up your storage or even upgrading your hardware if the issue persists. Some users have even found that reapplying thermal paste can help, but that’s more for overheating issues. If your setup allows it, think about investing in more storage or upgrading your GPU for better performance.
