Upgrading RAM Caused My PC to Malfunction—What Can I Do?

I need some urgent help! I have a B450M Steel Legend motherboard and was previously using a single 8GB DDR4 3600MHz stick from Asgard. Today, I decided to upgrade to two new Corsair Vengeance LPX sticks (2x16GB, also DDR4 3600MHz). I installed them in the second and fourth slots (A2 and B2), but now my PC powers on without any display. It stays on for about 40 seconds, then enters a loop of switching off and on again. I even tried reinstalling the old RAM, but I'm still facing the same issue. Did I do something wrong? 😢 I'm really at a loss here!

It sounds like your PC might be going through a memory training process. This can happen when you install new RAM. Just take a breather and give it some time to sort itself out. Walk away for a bit and check back later!

Yep, definitely just leave both sticks in. It can be a bit unsettling if you're not familiar with it, but it's generally safe.

Should I leave both RAM sticks in during the memory training, or just one? I want to be sure I'm doing it right.

If the memory training doesn’t work, try removing the RAM and clearing the CMOS. After that, reseat the RAM slots. If you're still stuck, you might need to think about returning the Corsair RAM and trying a different brand.

How do I clear the CMOS? I want to make sure I'm doing that correctly.
