Is it worth upgrading from a 5600G to a 5700X for $100 if I have a 6750XT?

Hey folks, I'm mainly into playing WoW, browsing, and using my PC for HTPC tasks. I'm considering a $100 upgrade from a 5600G to a 5700X. Normally, I wouldn't think about it, but the price is tempting. Plus, I don't plan on upgrading my whole PC until AM6 hits around 2027. Do you think this upgrade is worth it?

Absolutely! Just keep in mind that the 5700X doesn’t come with a cooler, so check if your current one will suffice. But at that price, it’s definitely worth it for the performance boost.

Yes, definitely! Especially if you could sell your 5600G; that would help offset the cost and make the upgrade feel even more worthwhile.

Yeah, for $100, I say go for it. That’s a pretty good deal for the upgrade you’ll get. Plus, the performance improvements will definitely make a difference in your gaming experience.

I think it’s a solid upgrade! The 5600G performs closer to a 5500, so moving up to the 5700X will give you a noticeable boost, especially with your 6750XT. A buddy of mine made a similar jump and saw about a 20% increase in FPS across several games. Definitely worth the $100 in my opinion!

You might want to consider if you'd prefer the 5700X3D instead, which can often be found for around $200. It’s a bigger upgrade and you’ll notice the difference in games like WoW due to the extra cache. Just something to think about!
