Hey everyone! I recently switched from Samsung to a Sony phone and just learned that I can download APKs from the internet instead of being restricted to the Play Store. So, I decided to download the Samsung Gallery app from APK Mirror. However, I'm having a hard time with it. The app opens for a brief moment and then crashes. I've tried downloading multiple versions but none of them seem to work. Is there a guide for someone who's not very tech-savvy that explains the requirements for these APKs? Also, do you think it's pointless for me to try installing a Samsung app on a Sony device? When I install it, it asks for permission to access my photos and video, which is understandable. My phone runs on Android 15. Thanks for any help!

It sounds like the Samsung Gallery app might not be compatible with your Sony phone. Don't worry, it’s not a dumb move to try it out; many people use APKs that aren't available on the Play Store, but they sometimes have compatibility issues. If you’re not satisfied with the Sony gallery, there are other gallery apps like Google Photos that might suit your needs better. Just keep exploring!
I've tried a bunch of alternatives too, but none match what Samsung Gallery offers. It's frustrating when you're used to one app! You're probably right that compatibility is the issue.
