I'm working on upgrading my PC and need some advice! Here's what I currently have:
- Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO
- CPU: Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G
- PSU: Xigmatek X-Power 600W 80+
- RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V (2x8GB) 3200MHz
- Case: Xigmatek Master X
- GPU: MSI RX6600XT Gaming X
I'm planning to keep the case but upgrade everything else to future-proof my build. I'm looking at these new parts:
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B850-F Gaming WiFi
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9700X
- PSU: Xigmatek Fury GD 850W 80+ Gold or Coolermaster G750W V2 80+ Gold
- RAM: XPG Lancer DDR5 (2x16GB) 6400MHz
Are all these components compatible? And which PSU should I choose, Xigmatek or Coolermaster? I appreciate any suggestions for parts in a similar price range too!

I’d recommend going with the Xigmatek PSU since it has a better rating on the PSU tier list. If you can find the Montech Century II at a lower price, that might be a good budget option too. Also, consider sticking with 6000MHz RAM—it’s typically the sweet spot for price-to-performance right now.
Is that PSU tier list trustworthy? Coolermaster has a solid reputation and their products are usually well-built, but Xigmatek isn't as well-known. The 850W might give you extra headroom for future upgrades, and it's often cheaper, especially on discounts. Plus, the RAM price difference between 6000MHz and 6400MHz isn't huge—do you think the increase in speed is worth it?
