Hey everyone! I just wrapped up Class 12 (CBSE) and I'm on the verge of starting my B.Tech in Computer Science with a focus on AI. AI has always fascinated me, and I'm eager to make the most of my break and the next four years to build a solid foundation for a career in AI. I'm looking for some advice on several points: What should I start learning now during my break, like languages, tools, or key concepts? How can I maximize my time during college for AI, such as through projects, internships, or competitions? How crucial are math topics like linear algebra and statistics, and what's the best way to begin learning them? Are there any online courses or resources that helped you get started in AI? How can I create a robust portfolio or GitHub profile throughout college? Should I lean more towards research or practical AI projects in the initial stages? I'd really appreciate any tips, personal experiences, or recommended resources! Thanks in advance!

I'm curious about the internship too! What are the eligibility criteria? And can you share the name of the company? Nowadays, it’s good to be cautious about where you apply!
I recommend choosing a specific area of AI that piques your interest, like Computer Vision or Natural Language Processing. You can start with simple algorithms, like image processing for Computer Vision or N-grams for NLP. The key is to dive into something you enjoy and learn from it. College will help solidify your understanding, but if you approach it passionately, you'll be way ahead of most people who view it as just a means to an end. Keep pushing forward!
In my opinion, the next decade will heavily focus on AI applications. There are many low or no-code tools out there, which still require some coding—like Make or N8N. I'm currently advising a startup in this area, and if you're interested in internships, I can share a form for applications.
