I'm in a tough spot and need to upgrade my laptop for school, but I'm really tight on cash. I found an ADATA 2400 MHz 8GB RAM stick for a super low price, which makes me a bit skeptical. Some people say it's not reliable. Should I go for it, or is ADATA RAM truly not worth it?

I've used ADATA products without any issues. I've had several RAM sticks and SSDs from them over the years. They might not be the fastest on the market, but I haven't experienced any major failures or problems with their stuff.
ADATA is definitely a decent brand! I’ve got about 7TB of their SSDs and a fair amount of their RAM. I haven't had any issues since 2020. The low price for an 8GB DDR4 stick could just be due to it being an older standard since most new gaming rigs are shifting to DDR5 with higher capacities.
Ugh, I guess I’m stuck in the past with DDR4! Thanks for clarifying.
