I'm looking to enhance my laptop for school but I'm on a tight budget. I found ADATA's 2400 MHz 8GB RAM for an incredibly low price, which made me a bit skeptical about its quality. I've heard mixed reviews, with some people labeling it as subpar. Should I consider buying this RAM or is ADATA generally known for being unreliable?

Make sure to compare prices between different stores online. That way you can see if the deal on ADATA RAM is truly worth it, or if there are better options at similar prices.
I've had pretty good experiences with ADATA actually. I've used several of their RAM sticks and SSDs, and while they may not be the fastest on the market, I haven't run into any failures or major issues.
I've got two Qnap NAS units that came with ADATA RAM, and those have been running fine for over a decade. While it's not the high-end stuff, it's reliable enough for everyday use. Just keep in mind that they might not have the same recognition as some premium brands, but they're not a bad choice.
That's useful to know! Thanks for the info.
How much RAM are you working with now?
ADATA is a solid choice! I own a bunch of their SSDs, and they work great. The low price for the 8GB DDR4 RAM makes sense since DDR4 is becoming less common now that DDR5 is out. I haven't had any problems with the RAM I used from them since 2020.
I guess I just have to accept that DDR4 is older now. Thanks for the reassurance!
I started to doubt it after seeing those comments about it breaking down quickly. Thanks for sharing your experience!
