I'm really struggling here. I came back to the Apple ecosystem after about ten years, and I'm facing a big problem. My recovery email for my Apple ID was deleted a long time ago because of a prank, and I can't remember the answer to one of my security questions. Right now, Apple is trying to send recovery info to that deleted email, which I obviously can't access. I'm stuck trying to guess the security question answers over time, but I'm wondering if there's a way for Apple to use my main email instead. I haven't used an Apple product in a decade, so all the modern 2FA options weren't available to me back then. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If your Apple ID is really old, it probably still uses an outdated recovery email and security questions. Unfortunately, if you can't access that recovery email and can't remember your security questions, you may not be able to regain access to your Apple ID. Your best bet might be to just create a new account.
Just a heads up, there wasn’t an iPhone 4G, and modern 2FA options were around before the iPhone was even released.
If you don’t have anything useful to add, maybe just skip commenting next time.
I was using a second account and managed to brute force it just a while ago. Surprised the attempts didn’t take longer. Thanks for the suggestion! <3
