Why is My PC’s Internet Speed So Much Slower Than My Xbox?

Hey folks, I'm experiencing some weird internet speed issues on my PC. Normally, my internet is a bit slow, but when I connect my Xbox with an Ethernet cable, I get around 30 Mbps. However, when I switch over to my PC and plug in the same cable, the speed drops significantly to about 2-6 Mbps. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Are you using any VPN or remote desktop applications? Sometimes those can slow down your connection on your PC. It's also a good idea to check the Ethernet card specs in your PC—upgrading to a newer Ethernet card could really boost your speeds!

I haven’t been using a VPN lately, but I’ll check into the Ethernet card situation as well. Thanks!

It might be worth double-checking if you're confusing bits and bytes. When measuring internet speed, Mbps (megabits per second) could easily get mixed up with MB/s (megabytes per second) on different devices. Make sure you're looking at the same measurement!
