I recently dug up my iPhone 6 from about seven years ago, and it's packed with videos from raves I attended that I'd love to relive. However, when I power it on, it shows the Apple logo for a moment before switching to a black screen like it's stuck in a boot loop. I tried connecting it to my PC and used iTunes to both update and restore the phone, but iTunes said it couldn't complete the operation. I'm aware that it could be fixed in-store, but I don't have transportation and the nearest Apple store is 2-3 hours away. Plus, I'm kind of tight on funds, so I can't really afford services like ReiBoot. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks and hope you're all having a great day!

It sounds like your iPhone 6 is experiencing a classic boot loop issue. One common cause could be an error related to the Touch ID, often known as Error 53, especially if a non-genuine part was previously put in. But if your phone has never been repaired, it might just be a glitch. Try putting your iPhone into recovery mode before attempting to restore it again in iTunes. Just hold the home and power buttons together until it shows the recovery mode screen. That could help the process! Good luck!
In case recovery mode doesn't help, you might want to look into third-party software options that can help fix boot loops without needing a full restore. Just be sure to read reviews, as some can be dodgy. And don't worry too much about getting to the Apple store if you're strapped for cash; try the software first!
I haven't had it repaired at all, so I'm confused how Error 53 could pop up. I'll definitely try the recovery mode, thanks for the tip!
