I'm dealing with a new custom build that refuses to power on when I have my GPU installed. I'm using an i7 10700F with liquid cooling, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a Zotac 3060 GPU. My setup includes an MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Plus motherboard, a 500GB M.2 SSD, another 500GB 2.5 SSD, and a 650W PSU with the appropriate 8-pin and 4-pin connections. I've got a couple of fans for cooling as well. The strange thing is, when I remove the GPU, the system powers on and everything seems to spin up, but without a display since the i7 10700F requires a GPU. I tried replacing the CMOS battery and checked the PSU with a calculator—everything looks good. Any advice on how to get it to display correctly? Thanks a bunch!

Have you tried reseating the GPU? Sometimes just taking it out and putting it back in can help with making a good connection. Also, make sure you’re connecting it securely to the PSU. It might sound basic, but it's an easy fix!
If you’ve already swapped PCIe slots and reseated the RAM, it could be that the GPU itself is faulty. If you have access to another GPU, try testing with that one to rule out any issues with your Zotac.
It might be worth checking for any switch or jumper on your motherboard that could affect how it powers up. I found one like that on my board and flipping it helped with a similar issue.
That's interesting! I did find a switch near the bottom and toggled it, but it only changed the light behavior. Maybe I should check the manual.
I did try reseating it, but still no luck!
