Hey everyone! I recently got an Acer GX-781 from a family member, but it's missing a hard drive, and I have no idea what type to buy. Are there specific requirements I should be aware of, or can I choose any drive as long as it meets some specs? Also, since it's an older PC, I know it might not handle heavy games like Genshin Impact, but I'd love to run something like The Sims. Sorry if this is a basic question—I'm not very tech-savvy, and English isn't my first language! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend going for an SSD instead of a standard hard drive. Most PCs from the last 20 years support 2.5" SATA SSDs. Just double-check if your model can handle M.2 NVMe SSDs; they’ve become quite popular nowadays.
No, that one won't work for you. What you need is a SATA m.2 SSD instead. They look similar to NVMe drives but the connection type is different. A 2.5" SSD will also work, and here’s a list of all the compatible options you can consider: [link].
You'll want a SATA drive for your Acer. Generally, a 2.5" SATA SSD is a good choice and should work perfectly. They’re pretty common and will give you a decent speed boost compared to traditional hard drives.
Thanks for the info! Would this Kingston NV3 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1TB M.2 SSD work for my PC? It seems to match the shape of what was previously there.
