What Graphics Card Should I Buy Instead of the 5060 8GB?

I'm in urgent need of a graphics card but I'm not keen on purchasing the 5060 8GB. I want to make sure I buy from a shop with a warranty to have some peace of mind. The problem is, I can't go for AMD cards due to various reasons which I wouldn't like to drag into this discussion. The prices in my country are much higher than elsewhere, with the 5060 priced at $370 and the 5060 Ti 16GB at $550, which is a significant jump. I need something quickly and can't save more for a better option, which keeps me around a $400 budget. I'm confused about what to buy since it seems like people are really down on the 5060, but I feel pressured into it. I don't see anything better in this price range. Can anyone suggest an alternative?

You might need to weigh how you'll actually use the card. If it's just for casual use or lighter games, the 5060 could suffice, but if you're aiming for gaming at decent settings, look into 16GB options or older gen cards that hold up better in terms of performance.

You're right that the 5060 has some limitations, especially with only 8GB of VRAM. If gaming is your primary focus, maybe consider a used 3060 or a 2070 Super—they're around the same price and may offer better performance. Just be cautious about VRAM usage in newer games!

Definitely! Monitor how much VRAM you're using, especially if you want to play modern titles without issues.

The market's kind of weird right now. The 5060 has its flaws due to VRAM limitations. Consider saving a little longer if you can—it might get you a much better GPU that doesn't become outdated quickly, like the 5060 is likely to.

If you're not sold on any alternatives, then just go for the 5060. But remember, if you're worried about performance, the card's price drop hints it might not hold up in the long run. You could find older models that still perform better.

Exactly! Check out some used cards too, like the RTX 2070 Super; it can compete with the 5060 for a fraction of the price.

Honestly, if you can't get an AMD card, you're a bit stuck. A 9060 or 9060 XT could work, but I'd really recommend you detail why AMD is off the table. Sometimes digging into those reasons can open up more options for you.

Yeah, definitely explain why AMD is ruled out. There might be flexibility you haven't considered!
