I've decided to shift away from competitive gaming to enjoy some AAA titles where I can just relax and play casually. Currently, I'm using a 3070 GPU with an i5 10400F CPU and a mini LED 165Hz 2K monitor. I've got a 900W 80+ Gold PSU, and I'm planning to upgrade my CPU to a 13400F and get a B760M ASRock Pro D4 motherboard. A good friend of mine has reserved a triple fan Zotac RTX 5070 for me at MSRP. I'm curious—given that I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the 5070, is it truly worth it? I mainly play single-player games and I don't mind playing on medium settings in the future. Here are some games I'm looking forward to:
1. RDR2 (currently playing)
2. Horizon series
3. Hogwarts Legacy
4. Far Cry 6
5. Battlefield 5
6. Mafia Definitive Edition
7. Detroit: Become Human
8. GTA 6
9. Black Myth: Wukong
10. Disco Elysium
11. Baldur's Gate
I'm looking for something that'll future-proof my setup for the next few years—do you think the 5070 is a good choice? My 3070 barely manages to keep up with these games at high settings, often not exceeding 60 fps.

If you can grab the 5070 for under $600, it might be a decent option. I mean, no one loves the pricing on GPUs these days, but for what it offers, it’s alright. Just keep in mind that any new card has its limits, especially with future titles.
Honestly, I'd say try the 3070 in your new setup first. The upgrade to the 13400 should give you a nice performance boost. For me, if I can hit 60 fps on High settings, I'm satisfied. Just make sure to consider that a 16GB GPU could be more beneficial for long-term use. Maybe wait for a refreshed version like a 5070 Super with more VRAM instead?
Yeah, that makes sense. I’ll test the CPU and motherboard first before deciding.
