Why Is My PC Overheating After Upgrading the CPU and Motherboard?

Hey everyone, I'm upgrading my PC's CPU and motherboard, but I'm hitting a snag with my CPU overheating. I've already reapplied the thermal paste (Arctic MX6) during the upgrade and again when the overheating started. I'd like some advice on whether that might be the issue. I shared some images to illustrate the setup: https://imgur.com/a/hUOSdv1. I'm also suspicious that my AIO cooler (NZXT Kraken Z63) might not be working properly. I'm hesitant to reinstall Windows, but it could be a factor since the overheating occurs shortly after logging in. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks like you might have issues with the mounting pressure of your cooler. Double-check the cooler manual for the right brackets, standoffs, and screw-tightening methods to ensure it’s properly seated. Bad mounting can definitely lead to overheating.

I just got an update kit to switch from LGA 1151 to 1700. I replaced the screws and used new brackets for the AIO cooler, along with reapplying thermal paste, but I'm still not having any luck. Maybe it's time to consider getting a new cooler.
