I'm really confused about something that just happened with my phone. I was looking through my messages when I noticed that a video had been sent from my phone to a number I don't recognize. I checked it out, and it's some random person's art project—but here's the kicker: I never took that video! It's not in my camera roll, and I haven't let anyone else use my phone. The video seems to be from my college campus, which makes it even weirder! I blocked the number and deleted the message because I was freaked out, but now I'm worried my phone might have been hacked or something. If anyone has any advice or thoughts on what I should do, I'd really appreciate it.

What kind of phone do you have? Android or iPhone?
So, was it the video itself or just a link that got sent? You might want to log into your service provider's account and check for any unusual activity. It's rare to be hacked, but it can happen. A family member once hacked into my phone and sent themselves pics. They had to physically access my phone and knew my passwords though. Here are some signs that indicate hacking: 1. Messages or emails you didn't send, 2. Your phone gets super hot, 3. Fast battery drain, 4. Missing calls or messages, 5. Poor call quality with interference.
The video itself, like when you send a video from your camera roll.
Honestly, it's pretty unlikely someone hacked your iPhone just to send a random art video. Do you use WhatsApp? Sometimes videos shared there may get auto-saved in your Photos app. Could be worth checking!
I do use WhatsApp, but I just checked, and no video was sent to me.
I have an iPhone.
