What’s the Ideal Clearance for Right Intake Fans in a PC Case?

I'm building a new PC and I'm considering a couple of cases: the LianLi Lancool 207, known for its awesome thermals and looks, and the Montech XR, which has a sleek, "premium" design. My workspace has about 10cm of clearance from the right wall, and since the Montech has right intake fans, I'm worried about airflow. Will 10cm be enough for fresh air to circulate properly, or do I need more space for optimal cooling? I'm trying to decide between the two cases, so any insights would be helpful!

I think you'll be fine with 10cm clearance. Airflow typically isn’t hugely affected unless you're really cramped, maybe 3-5cm could start to cause issues. I'd actually just push it closer to the wall and see how it goes; you might be surprised!

I wish I could test that myself, but I haven't built in either case yet. If it doesn't make much difference, then I can look at performance and aesthetics instead of just assuming the Montech is bad because of the intake fan placement.
