I recently got a 49" Odyssey G9 Neo monitor, but I'm facing a frustrating issue. Whenever I connect it to my computer, it only works at 60Hz. I can't get it to run at a higher refresh rate. Strange thing is, when I hook it up to my work computer, it connects just fine. My graphics card is a 3080, and I've used both HDMI and DisplayPort cables that should support 240Hz, but neither seems to work. I'm really unsure about what could be causing this issue, and I'm hoping to get some help!

It sounds like you're hitting a limitation with the connections. The Odyssey G9 Neo uses HDMI 2.1 ports, but to achieve 240Hz, you'll need to use a DisplayPort 1.4 or better cable. HDMI can't handle that refresh rate, so that might be the issue there. Also, double-check that you’ve got the latest official drivers from Nvidia installed instead of the generic ones from Microsoft. Plus, make sure your cable is plugged into the graphics card output, not the motherboard's!
Actually, I'm using the right DisplayPort cable for 240Hz and the latest Nvidia drivers, and it's firmly connected to the graphics card, but I'm still dealing with this issue. Plus, there’s some screen tearing happening at 60Hz—it’s really puzzling.
